Me too, it's wonderful to see that this and many other SS NORWAY items are there for us to download into our libraries.
sigpicI will never forget the lovely grand SS NORWAY.
    Past Cruises on her: August 22, 1992. June 4, 1994, April 7, 2002.
Nearly had our fourth cruise, it was set for November 7, 2003...
the boiler room disaster of May 4, 2003 took her out of service.
We ended up on the NORWEGIAN WIND, not the same as the SS NORWAY

Fantastic video.... Great shooting which makes my heart weep!

They stated one thing incorrectly though: two decks were added in 1979.

Thank you Noel, that was very fascinating to watch. I think it would be nice to own one of those knives. I kind of like the idea of having a part of the great ship in my pocket. And really nice knowing that so much skill and expertise had been given to that tiny little part of the Norway.

I think for sure, most of you have already seen this now long running advertisement for a documentary which were to be made about the ship, and which has not yet seen the light of day.

Studying it again and again, I came across an interesting part, as seen below:

Do you all see that image?

I have that very same photo it in my collection as well: taken at the Philippine Indpendence Day in June 1995, a crew party held on Viking Deck aft (can you spot me?):

A beautiful video from some of the crew areas on board the Norway:

(The video has naturally been added to the Online Cruising - page at CV main page).

Fantastic video find Jan-Olav. Very interesting to see behind the scenes. I can only imagine the memories and emotions watching this must bring back to both yourself and others that worked on the Grand Lady of the Seas.

Thanks for posting that link, i really enjoyed watching, though still with such a strong feeling of sadness.
