So good to see one small part of the ship still "alive"... though, I had preferred the whole ship:

Are you able to climb up and take a photo ontop of the bow, or is the bow not accessible?

Of course this time , the noise of the Bow is : " closed " !
On our last visit , my first idea was : i can climb twice on the Bow ?
The answer is : " NO " !!! You can imagine the Titanic photo with Kate & Léo ...

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I just picked up some lights that the seller claims are off of the S.S. Norway. Jan or anyone else have any recollection or photos of passageway lights on the grand lady?
              Thanks for any help!http://schoolsoutcharters.blogspot.c...ay-lights.html

It's hard to say, but they do remind me of the lights in some crew corridors and crew stairways.

Maybe our resident expert, Jeff, can confirm?

I'll see if I can find an image in my private collection from those areas, and then confirm that they might be from the Norway.

                Welcome back by the way!

Thank you very much Captain! I appreciate any effort. I could find no photos of them installed on passenger decks and pretty much figured if they were from the S.S. Norway, they would have most likely been in "crew only" areas. He also had two slightly smaller lights, but otherwise identical. Regardless, they are very nice lights in excellent condition and I will refurbish and use them because of what they are, not where they are from, however, if they are from the S.S. Norway, it will just make them just that much more special to my wife and I!

I haven't found an image taken in the crew area (yet), so I can not confirm it as of now.

But, they do look like some of the lights I recall from crew stairways, and maybe even the Caribbean deck crew area.

Unless anyone else can confirm before me, I'll continue my search for proof.

I apologize too; I haven't been on lately....all of my SS NORWAY photos are packed away. I've sold my home and am about to move into an apartment. However, if you go to Webshots Community and type in SS NORWAY, you'll see photos of her interiors and exteriors that I took 1992, 1994 and 2002. I go by the same nickname as I do here. She was such a wonderful ship and I still miss her.
sigpicI will never forget the lovely grand SS NORWAY.
                        Past Cruises on her: August 22, 1992. June 4, 1994, April 7, 2002.
Nearly had our fourth cruise, it was set for November 7, 2003...
the boiler room disaster of May 4, 2003 took her out of service.
We ended up on the NORWEGIAN WIND, not the same as the SS NORWAY

I have found some photos, sadly of a quality where I can not 100% confirm, but the lights in the crew staircase behind the bridge, does have some lights which looks awfully similar.

The way the glass is attached, and the lines in the glass-bulb is VERY similar.

I think these might actually be the one's.

Thank you so much for the link. I am having such a good time looking at all of the photos of our SS norway. I haven't found anything yet, but I'll keep digging.

JD Pro sold a pair that look identical to the ones I have.

I'd say they are from the France/Norway! :-)

Thanks again for the help. I'm excited!!!
