      • Nice looking, and great photos too.
Such a privilege to get on board to take all these photos.

        • Thank you very much, Tommi, for your time and kind comments.

Indeed a very beautiful and cozy ship: you can feel the history on board. Imagine all the people who have sailed on her, all the places shes been and all the things the ship have encountered.

42, soon 43 years in service. Pretty amazing for a ship that is carrying passengers. Nobody will ever know how long we will have the chance to sail, and to see ships like this.

One thing for sure, there aren't so many of them left now.

          • I just happened to stumble upon this:
            http://www.daserste.de/information/r...dover-102.html

Since this is part 10 there should be more episodes somewhere.

              • The former Royal Viking Sea, in her Albatross livery... she actually looks good even in rain:

                • Here especially for pakarang, and as a bonus photo (or three!) to the cruise I'm currently catching up on in another thread, are photos of Albatros. They are taken in Horta, Faial island in the Azores on 21 April 2016.

I'm sure you've spotted another of pakarang's favourite ships - a bonus ship on a bonus photo!
                  A ''pakarang view' of Serenissima!

Albatros was moored next to the ferry terminal at the far end of the promenade.

                  • Great photos of "Albatros" Seagull

                    # 173/3 with the sky above the ship is my favorite this time

As you can see in these three pictures taken during that afternoon, the sky was always changing. I like that blue sky too and the cloud - like a nice soft duvet over the ship

                  • What an amazing ship she is - such a beautifully designed, well proportioned vessel... if you don't get soft and mushy in your heart when you see these lines, you definitely can't call yourself a ships lover. She is the ultimate ship I think.... almost as timeless as the Eiffel Tower!

Thank you so very much for those wonderful photos and for thinking about my love for her.
