I don't think so. They didn't have HURTIGRUTEN painted on the sides then. (No need, most people along the coast know that anyhow)

  • "Nordlys" northbound from Troms°.

    • You are such a master of the night time shots in what appears to be total darkness!

      Awesome! Absolutely awesome!

      • It's a long time since we've had a new Nordlys photo - so here she is in the evening sun, Molde, 22nd June 2016.

        Cheers,

          • Here is the Nordlys - coming your way!

When it comes to the so-called Stralsund ships, I have never been a great fan of them. I think they are a bit.... let's call it "boring" (in lack of a better word) in design because of their square shape, particularly on the stern. I would have loved seeing these ships being rebuilt a bit, with larger windows like the suites up on the stern of Trollfjord/Midnatsol, and perhaps even balconies behind the bridge(?)

                • Looking forward to the summer when you will have more light all day long - though, these night shots are so well done! I should be taking a night-time photo class with you as a teacher! These night time images takes me back to my childhood at R°rvik, seeing the ships pass our house twice each night.
