Is MS Lofoten on her way into dry dock?

It looks like it – the AIS is showing her in Fredrikshavn, Denmark.
Anyone know if this was scheduled or not?

Normally she is in Fredrikshaven in the shipsyard. Did she have any problems?

The webcam picture is showing her in front of the dry dock.

Is she going into regular dry dock, or this in some way related to her recent brake down at Vestfjorden?

Didn't see this until now, but flying the flag at half mast here has a logical explanation:

                    They don't.
As I see from the time the picture was taken, it say 21:02, and as the norwegian flagrules say, one should never fly the flag after 21:00.
I think the photographer just took his picture just as a crewmember was lowering the flag.

                    How's that for an explanation...?

It is a good and correct observation, Sterkoder
The ships passed each other at 21.01 , approximately 1.8 nautical mile north east of Lyngstuva lighthouse that evening and the seaman is in the process of lowering the flag.

...this is again a proof, why i like it so much in here. Not enough, that these guys notice the lowered flag, they find out, why and where!!

And i bet, some other member would be able to tell us, who did it and what he had for dinner before.

Stop! I don't want to know it. Let these people a little privacy...

I concur with that explanation, and Asimut's additional info.
I also agree with Ralf that we should not probe too far into the private life of the crew on board on an open forum.

What an eye for details! I'm very impressed.

Actually, at sea, you are permitted to fly the flag after sunset/2100 until you reach port, but I guess for practical reasons they are following land rules.

On oceangoing ships we are only using the flags in port (and during arrival / departure), mostly because we want to keep the flags in good order as long as possible.
