    Thanks for the comment, Sterkoder
I completely agree with the comment about "Lofoten" she's a beauty

Yes, it definitely has its advantages to live closest to the sea route when one likes to take pictures of ships and I am grateful for that.

But it's also okay to change some of the background from time to time. I'm not so good at it, but sometimes it happens, too.

I must say you made me laugh when you commented that I certainly did not need to take my slippers off to take pictures, and you could not hit the nail better,
I do not actually take off my slippers, I go from the one balcony to the other to take my pictures.

Sorry for doing so, but since your name and hometown are no secret, I took the liberty of checking out exactly where you live (via the chartsection of GuleSider)..., walking from balcony to balcony taking pictures.
And I must say...., you live in a very nice place for the hobby
And as a surprice to me, I also see you have not many steps to go to picture that "cormorant wreck"
Seems like you live in the middle of the "smørøyet" (as we say in norwegian)

One thing is the images itself...., but take a good look at "Lofoten".
Have you ever seen such lines???
        What a design!!!!!!!!

Some of us have to drive 20 kilometers to get into town to get images from our harbour here in Kristiansund, then it's the driving around to different spotterplaces and the amount of fuel used to get around.
Then there's Bengt....., the lucky guy getting all the vessels to come to him.
And not only that, it also seems like you don't have to get out of your slippers to get the pictures
Or you can surf the various webcams that is available on most of the Hurtigrute ships and in most ports of call, just like Kitbooth can.

Even I can do so, from far away Singapore, one port that has NEVER been visited by a Hurtigrute ship in active service.
Kong Olav and other ex Hurtigrute ships may have visited though.
        Anybody know??

What is also nice with your pictures and the same backgrounds repeated many times over, is that we can watch the seasons, weather and light in Tromso change through the year.
In the case of weather and light, sometimes even between shots of the same ship moving through the sound.

I may not comment much on individual pictures, but I look at and appreciate them all.

Eh...., not quite sure if I follow you on this one...?

Yes, I can follow a hurtigrute on harbour webcams, and I can watch on board webcams....., but you see, that was not my point.
I was more thinking about taking pictures with our own cameras, as 'Asimut' can just stand on his balconies to do so..., I have to drive 20 km to take pictures of a ship in harbour. That's only because of the physical fact that I live 20 km away from Kristiansund harbour and 'Asimut' lives literally IN the Tromsøysundet

Thanks a lot ombugge and Sterkoder for your comments

Today "Lofoten" was on her way north again.

I HAVE to remember to put in a Smiley when I'm making a joke.
What I meant was that you can capture webcam pictures from the comfort of your own home, with or without your slippers on, just like those of us not residing along the Hurtigruten route have to do.

A good point to make, Ombugge. Needless to say (at least for those of you who follow my 365 “Skyscape” thread ) this aspect of Asimut’s photos is something that I too find find attractively pleasing and interesting.

. . . and now I’ve just seen a cloud photo from Asimut in the Nature thread – so delighted!
