Does it HAVE to be on LOFOTEN next time.? Is it THINKABLE that you might try out one of the new ships next time. Sitting in a warm jacuzzi while enjoying the Northern Light. Or are you just as stubbern as Harald Jarl ??????

I am not so consequent as Harald Jarl, only think about my MS Finnmarken tour in March 2007 (old forum) with my three friends:

But jacuzzi never, because I might miss a lot of good photo motives during the time.
But Lofoten and Nordstjernen are my absolute favorites !!!

Probably Harald Jarl and me – we are the only crazy old ship lovers.
....no....no....as i explained so often: The real steamers are the old ships. Going on a trip on one of the new cruiseships would be completely different....not count as Hurtigruten travel !!!

I love this photo - peaceful and timeless.
I can just imagine the cold, crisp air around me, and the warm cosy bar that awaits me inside.

Lovely image Asimut. Love the difference between the cold bright white lights outside, compared to the softer warmer lighting coming from inside the vessel. Certainly time to go inside to the bar!

Certainly a great images, and it seems like the dark days are back!

But seeing how you have excelled in photography, don't let the lack of light stop you!

Words are out that they also painted the logo 'HURTIGRUTEN' on "Lofoten".
I'm told that on this vessel, the logo is painted on the white fenceboard (or what I shall call it) above the poopdeck....

Why don't "they" just make HUGE, HUGE bright yellow (lighted at night) steel arrows and weld them to the main mast pointing down at the vessel itself, and then make even bigger "talkingbubbles" to be welded to the arrows, and the text could be: -"HEY YOU IGNORANT PEOPLE......, IF ANYONE WONDER WHAT MYSTERY SHIP THIS IS, IT'S SOMETHING WE CALL HURTIGRUTEN!!!!!!"

"Lofoten" is this years new years eve vessel in Kristiansund.
The public are invited to dine on board and in the price is also included drinks on deck at midnight....

Visible here across the harbour is Innlandet toward south (MRK!: These images will change, as I only used the direct link, silly me.....)
