It's a great angle to see the "NX" in, then I would expect she manages a round trip without any problems, hopefully

A great capture... love the way you managed to get the heat escaping from the funnel!

She looks a little bit twisted in the image...?

                A few from last week:

Well well... Poor seamanship anyone? I learned when i was at sea that you do NOT under any circumstances leave an anchor like this! It looks bad and when you really need it it might be jammed in the hawse pipe.

Oh well, they made it safely to the dock this time too!

The anchor(s) is one thing...., looks bad...., but what's the story behind that horrible line between the black and red????

                  And another thing:
The funnel we all wnet crazy about when it came (black with the new HRG logo), is it really that bad looking...?
After getting used to it and after looking at these images, I feel like it looks quite ok on the Star..., don't you think??

I`m not sure if i follow you on the line between the black and red, do you mean the waterline? Apparently they ran out of masking tape many years ago from the looks of it

And yes i agree with you regarding the funnel, she wears the new logo very well in my opinion! It doesnt look too good on the stralsund class sisters tho.

Oh yes..., I mean the waterline for sure!!
Please crew, if you read this; you can't be serious. Who else in the business of running a classic old ship would sail around like that!!????!!??

Agreed, that line should be 100% crisp.

The boot top could have done with a proper line: that just looks awful, absolutely awful!

The funnel looks "allright" in bad weather, but only that also. I miss the TFDS colors up there... the ship look much more alive.

.... and the image is absolutely brilliant.

There seems something wrong with the port anchor...? Is it broken....?

The old lady have some trouble again! On her way south to Sortland yesterday the engine stopped suddenly.

She has had engine failure due to problems with fuel supply, said communications manager Norum of Hurtigruten ASA

It's probably been ballast water into the fuel tank, says Norum Saturday night.

Due to the repair of main engine cancels "Nordstjernen" sailing route Sortland - Bergen 23.04 - 26-04.2011.

                                Info from HRG

Edit: "NX" is heading south and she is about 16 n.m south of Bodø,passing island Fleina at this moment.
She is sailing with normal speed about 14.8 knots so the problem seems to be solved so far.
