This is the right Honningsvag view. The ship fits to the pier and to the buildings. Each has the right size!

I especially love that first photo of Nordstjernen in Rørvik – the overall composition, and the bright ship’s lights contrasting with the golden light on rope, anchor and quayside. And it is a particularly suitable image for the framing and text.
Umm, maybe that horoscope you just laughed at in another thread wasn’t so far out after all . . .
(. . . People are beginning to regard you with awe, as if you possess extraordinary talents. . . )

The clever framing plus text that has interested you recently reminds me of some postcards I purchased during my first Hurtigruten voyage. I was wanting to “educate” folk about the route, and so got a post card of every port – all of the type with a frame and the name of the place prominently shown. The idea was to shuffle the set of cards and then the game was to arrange them with all the ports in the correct order!

For some reason, NX was one hour late from Rorvik tonight on southbound.

Great shot the one with the dropping anchor! Good timing!

Absolutely, after finding a good tripod and remote release, and having read the instruction book from start to finish, I'm getting very confident with my 50D and extremely happy with it... at least so far. I love the high ISO range and the clarity in some of the images. But naturally, it's not just only the camera: there are also the lenses part. I use only the heavy duty L-lenses and they are also superb.

We had clear blue skies here today, and I prepared to take many pictures of "Nordstjernen" in good sunny afternoon light....

Well...., if the weather held for the 30 minute drive to my first spot, judge for yourself.

Here she comes with Averøy in the background.

I couldn't resist making a very old copy

And I think this kind of frame did something for the motive

Had to take a small break for a late short dinner here, but please let me present the rest of my pictures of this lovely old lady.....

And she left Kristiansund a few minutes after 5:00PM, and in fact being late according to sailplan, she still sailed out the Markussundet outlet even though this means sailing a longer way before continuing her route...

Dedicated to 'Andøya', who I hope is ok....! (Long time no see, ya' know).

Beautiful images... I love the old style photo and the head on photo!

Wonder why she sailed this unusual way today?
