Did I see somewhere that there had been a problem with the windlass?

        No hiding the evidence.

Wonderful row of pictures. To see how they are loading the old ships in comparison to the new ones is quite funny. A real anachronism. And a journey back in time.

Yes, it must be so, because there are no passengers to see outside. ;-)

Due to "technical" problems, Nordstjernen cancelled Harstad-Bergen 14.-17.01 2011. (ref hurtigruten.no)

I wonder what this "tecnical problem" is. And hope everything is OK now.

Note the bent flukes on her port anchor!

Love that last bow shot... !

Oh yes, the flukes are really bent.. I think she might need to do something with that anchor!

The thing is, after having seen such an imrpessive collection of hurtigrute shots as we have here at this forum, the challenge is to find new angles, new ways of showing the ships, other sides of the ship... maybe that is why I especially love that last shot?

I fully agree! This is an angle, we did not see so often before, but a very nice one. Congratulations, marvellous picture!

Yea, a great angle, and the anchor chain going down into the water really brings some extra to the composition.

At that angle, her bow looks so much bigger and wider... she actually reminds me a bit of the "butchy/macho" Fram.
