She was certainly feeling the heat in the hot weather I had for my days onboard!
If your work shift had been during my trip you would probably have been working so hard that we would hardly have had time to speak! I’m going to save telling everyone what happened until I write a full report about my travels.

Thanks for your message talfh. I hope we will meet another time.

And it became a memorable and very nice first-time-meeting between CV-forum members. And also included our dear captain at the end of the day. . .
Over on Lofoten’s thread I just announced that Ralf had won the Seagull Stalking Award, which is of course for virtual achievements. Now it is time for the equally prestigious Was actually there and spotted the Tee-shirt Award, which goes to . . . HurtigruteMartin.
He even took photos of me before I’d noticed him!

The Fram blue jackets are rather distinctive, but the above mentioned Tee-shirt which I wore underneath had an illustration of the ship Sørlandet with the words Kristiansand, Norway underneath.

Our Captain was not actually eligible for this award this time, as HurtigruteMartin and I surprised him by picking him up at the airport on his arrival from Trondheim.

I wish so much i can join you some day....
Well, I’ve told you my plan of action over on Lofoten’s thread Ralf, so there is certainly some more to come, in the major magazine style thread of my trip, about the marvellous “excursion” around Bodø that HurtigruteMartin planned for me – and what a treat that was. But I never really thought to take a “group photo” later. Well, our dear Captain had had such a busy time the previous days, and then the journey north and a challenging day ahead on Ofoten, but nevertheless we all got together for some tasty pizza at a nearby restaurant and so had some very special time together.

Ralf, you will get to Norway at some point in the future, just say when and we will make it happen, such a get together. For sure I would come across to meet up somewhere along your route. Generally I have fewer time constraints than some of our members, even though this year has been a bit more complicated than usual. And it is really easy for me to travel to Norway.

I`d like to say welcome home, Seagull. Even if I`m not at your place. Glad you are in good shape after so long time away from home.

I am deeply honored by recieving that valuable t-shirt-award. And that you enjoyed our sightseeing-trip in Bodø as much as I did.

My "thank-you-speach" will be a photo of you walking in the lovely beach-area called Ausvika.

Oh how lovely, just look at the light glinting on the water and on the wet sand (and seagull getting as close as possible to the sea without quite getting her feet wet!). I can hear the soothing sound of the water just looking at that photo. Thank you for taking me to such a beautiful place.

Puuuhh.. I Need AC.. It`s to hot on NX now! It`s hard to be 2nd engineer today

Well, i think it`s hard to be passenger to! It`s to hot in the cabins on A and B deck... When we where sailing along the coast of Finnmark it was to cold and we had to use more steam for heating the air but now.. 40-45°C in the engine room
Outside the temperature is aboute 22-23 °C

Heading for Rørvik now, have a nice day everyone

I bet it would have been even harder on my trip when the engine cooling system had a problem!

I’m a bit split just now between following ehp’s travels, celebrating Captain’s Birthday, and starting to sort photos of my trip, but you will see all about my NX trip eventually.
Meanwhile, lovely to see the older photos you posted.

Yes, it`s taken from a helicopter. It was on a rescue drill with a rescue helicopter.
