Thanks for the very nice comments....

PS: I do too have a rounded stern... not an awfully large stern, but still a stern.

Have you been out on a Hurtigruten cruise recently, Eirik?

Yes, I went Hurtigruting with my mom this week... Went onboard the Midnatsol in Tromsø on Tuesday 10th, and stayed on her to Trondheim this friday 13th. So I think I managed to get pictures of all of the Hurtigruten ships we met, except Nordlys which was between Svolvær and Stamsund. I was on the Lofoten shore excursion to Henningsvær and around to Borg before boarding in Stamsund... And I have the official Hurtigruten Polar Circle Crossing certificate to prove it... :P

              Nice little trip, I think...

Eirik. If you took photos on your Henningsvær excursion, don't miss that we now have a special thread that HurtigruteMartin just started so as to have Hurtigruten excursions conveniently together. Hoping you'll be able to contribute

Remember, there ain't no noun that can't be verbed.

Nice video! Noisy lot ain't they?

Not sure about all that up and down stuff though, i prefer some heavy rolling myself - wedge myself in my bunk and i will sleep like a log with a nice bit of rolling.

Good luck to you! Safely tucked up midships as low as possible - in the nearest Rica hotel for me!!

Have been on FM before in rough stuff, found her very comfortable, but not in the Observation lounge.

Interested to know what the video was taken from - clearly another Hurtigruten - but that doesn't seem to be pitching and rolling in the same way.
                              Cheers,

According to the exchange of whistle-blows, I would say they were to HRG ships... am I guessing that it is filmed from Vesterålen (based on the first sound)?
