Finnmarken has a special design. I am sure she will have a lot of friends after her return in coastal service...
Does anyone know or have pictures of that room on top of the Brotoppen Panoramasalon???

...and by the way: welcome Henrik!!
You started some nice disussions here.

I'm not sure it's a room, but windows to give light to the panorama salon. (I may be wrong, but this is how I remember it...)

I see. What an amazing family we are. I have seen hundreds of Finnmarken pictures, but at Henriks i noticed these windows for the first time! Short question and ...puzzle solved! Thank you for the quick and perfect reply.

That is also my feeling Ralf!...oh, and from the outside that upper level probably has various equipment and the outside area around it has a stair labelled crew only access...(on some photo I have somewhere!).

But you are SO right. Sometimes people say "we have seen everything on all the hurtigruten ships so do we really need to post in this section any more" but i will NEVER believe that!!!!!!!!!!! (and that is just as true for the "factual, snapshot" if you like to call it that kind of photos, quite apart from the photographer geniuses take on ship-board scenes which I can never have enough of either....)

Well, there have been quite a few "attempts" to distract me from preparing and packing for yet more travels before Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!! (not least from our beloved Captain!....) But this was the one that stopped me in my tracks.... (Seagull's 1st Law of Travel...however much you plan ahead you ALWAYS need just one more day....)

Henrik...you'll hopefully have realised I am rather busy right now...but I absolutely must say Big Welcome here...

She's on the move. AIS says Sea Trial (well actually Seatrail, but we get the idea).

Look out Ombugge - she's behind you!!

                  Cheers,

                      Yep - makes sense!!

Mind you I work with a large number of highly qualified engineers who continually get trial and trail mixed up.

At least on marinetraffic.com no sign of her since then though - please can we have our boat back?

Sea-Troll, currently looking after me in exotic Plymouth, was VERY pleased to be mentioned on CVF!

I got to correct a whole report recently because of this same mistake. Spotted by an Indian Lawyer who would not accept that my spell checker was at fault and everybody would understand what I meant anyhow.

Looks like Finnmarken is on her way. She is passing through Singapore Strait in the West bound lane. Just passed Raffles L/H a little while ago.

Correction, she is heading into Western Anchorage. Unfortunately I'm not able to get away to get pictures before dark, but will keep an eye on her.

She appears to have anchored at Western Anchorage, near Sentosa.
                                Maybe for inward clearance only.
I'll be watching if she gets to somewhere were it is possible to get a good picture in the dark, or maybe tomorrow.
