These following images will be dedicated to Seagull... which by coincidence was on board Trollfjord when these very images were taken, way before the days of CaptainsVoyage:

They were taken in Geiranger on June 20th 2003:

Thank you so very much indeed for this special dedication.
It is wonderful to think that we were taking photos of each other at the very same moment, when we got our first view of each others ships. I was one of the little dots on deck 6 below the bridge. Here is my view of you!

      More to follow!

Well, pakarang, in the Crystal Symphony thread you said
“with a piece of luck, you may spot yourself in some of the close up's! That would be cool.”

and it certainly is! I’ve annotated one of your photos . . .

I'm speechless and quite simply stunned in a very positive way.

Do you know if she has to be dry docked in Harstad to complete the repairs?

                  News article regarding Trollfjord:

                  http://www.ht.no/incoming/article244148.ece

Trollfjord blir liggende: Trollfjord remains docked.

The gear system of "Trollfjord" crashed almost two weeks ago whilst the ship was sailing in Troms county. After a short stop in Tromsø, she sailed empty to Harstad for repairs.

The plans called for a repair of the broken gear before the weekend, but also the propeller shaft was damaged and a new shaft had to be made by the Finish shipyard who originally made the parts when she was built. Such precision work takes time, meaning Trollfjord remains a part of Harstad scenery for another full trip.

If everything now goes according to plan, she will sail for Bergen to get back into swing of things from April 7th.

It is noted that "Trollfjord" is able to change her propeller shaft without having to sail into dry dock, she therefore avoids a time consuming additional dry dock.

Seeing that Trollfjord is about to resume her route from Bergen on April 7th, she is very likely to depart from Harstad soon and sail by Rørvik outside of her original schedule... please help me keep an eye on her so that I possibly can get an image of her sailing by...

"Trollfjord" is on her move, being last seen passing through Tjeldsundet southbound...

EDIT: As a service to J-O....; she's at 14,4 knots west of Hamarøy with roughly 225 NM left to Rørvik. (+/- some NM depending on where she sail, inner or outer track towards Bergen).

A little update before I go to bed:

TF is passing Nesna at this time, doing 13,7 knots and with around 14,6 NM left to Sandnessjøen.
Rough measurement tells me that it's about 89-90 NM from Sandnessjøen to Rørvik.
She will pass S.sjøen approx. 02:00 AM, and will be in Rørvik around 08:00-08:30.

TF is passing between Lauvøya and Gjerdinga doing 13.8 knots. In 10 minutes J-O can spot her from the Nærøysundet bridge, so now he can run the show himself...

I read some place that TF will take up her duties from Bergen at the 7th April.
But now I see in our local newspaper here that TF is listed as the southbound hurtigrute from Kristiansund today, 6th April...

According to the "Hvilke skip fra havn?" you didn’t have a southbound ship scheduled for today April 6. But now that TF is well on her way from her repairs in Harstad, perhaps they decided to fill that gap by starting to take passengers southbound from Kristiansund. She will then start her round trip from Bergen tomorrow, April 7 as we were expecting.

That is a great idea if they do... I almost start thinking, why not?

There was no southbound from Rørvik last night, so she could start picking up the route again at KSU.
