    Fantastic images of Trollfjord!

My favourite is the first shot on page 3 of this thread: love it!

But then I also love the images where she is approaching the pier! She is such a beautiful ship and I love the pictures because they also include some of the surrounding scenery and because they are taken from places I have never seen any pictures taken before! Well done: looks like you had a perfect Sunday walk!

I also notice she dropped her anchor at approach, not often I see that with the 'new one's'.

Thanks for your comments Jan-Olav, Glad you enjoyed them.

Maybe she dropped her ancor because of the storm..

That would be the trip before... I was there on 21st and I only saw her after she departed the pier only.

Yeah. Saw the date of your pics, pakarang. But I was thinking about the images posted by TNAalesund about 3 weeks ago. Because I remembered the strong wind that day. And the use of the anchor. And I also remember the wheelchair on the first image on page 3

How funny I was standing at Storhaugen that very same day at the very same moment. The pictures above in this thread are taken at the same time as yours (January 10th)

Funny coinsident That was indeed a windy day in Aalesund. I had to help an old lady across the main street. And had to stop the traffic when her hat was taken by the wind just outside the post-office

Unfortunately we had to reorganize our holiday-plan, the departure date of the MS Trollfjord for October 11, 2009, has been canceled. So we go back to our old lady MS Lofoten Bergen-Kirkenes-Bergen on 13.10.2009 (Ralf will be pleased).

                          Greetings Doris

I wonder why they cancel a departure date in October. I would have expected, there were still a lot of bookings.... I wonder, what's going on there. Sure MS Lofoten is the better choice . But did you also receive the letter from Hurtigruten with the "Summer Special" prices? A good offer - unfortunately again NOT valid for Nordstjernen and Lofoten.

Seems the old ladies are well booked...

                                Beautiful!

The nature of the Lofoten islands is just as amazing in winter time as it is in summer! Each has it's own charm!
