Not exactly new pictures, but I'm sitting here playing a little with some pictures, trying to make them better just by using the standard Windows Office Picture Manager in my laptop.
This is a picture of "Trollfjord" taken in August 2006 as she departs Kristiansund southbound.

And this is the result after som e 30 seconds of work with light, contrast, colour and cutting sides. Rather satisfied myself

Maybe this should be posted in a photothread, but as it shows "Trollfjord" I thought it belonged here

"Trollfjord" was southbound hurtigrute in Kristiansund this Tuesday afternoon.
Here she's seen getting reflecting sunbeams at her hull from the windows of houses at Nordlandet (the largest island on which Kristiansund is built).

I don't see any of the camera problems that you have reported elsewhere with this one . Thank you getting me excited with such a lovely photo of Trollfjord, and good to see she is where she should be in the schedule! I will be aboard her Tromsø –Kirkenes–Tromsø from this coming Sunday (with a university group from the UK – I mentioned it in connection with discussion of Hurtigruten's offices abroad in the World's Most Beautiful Seavoyage thread).

Despite other emerging travel plans I still hope to return to Norway at some time later in the year, and, before you are tempted to tease me, I know I really ought to spend some time further south on my next visit !!!!!!!!!!!

This is a very good edit result: a few seconds, and you have added a lot of extra dynamic to the image. I like the composition very much: well done!

Trollfjord Crew: Seagull is coming! Be sure the red carpet is rolled out!

              Asimut: Will you meet her?

              Copied from another thread:
"We join the group at Heathrow (yuk) on 14 February for the flights via Oslo to Tromsø, and travel TF to Kirkenes and back to Tromsø. We took the option of an extra hotel night after excursions on the 18th, and fly back on 19 February."

Unfortunately it was a while before I knew the group trip details, and it turned out that our only free evening in Tromsø wasn’t possible for my fellow official photographer.
So no Ralf, Asimut hasn’t beaten you for meeting the Seagull!

So then i hope for a "waving shot" when you leave. Be sure to find the best illuminated window you can find. Or even better outside on deck 6 before the life boats. This seems to be the brightest place when it's dark outside...
There he can zoom you best.

I think M/S "Trollfjord" is a very nice boat, but it is so cold on board. Since she is the most blue interior. M/S "Midnatsol" is the boat I like best of these two vessels ...

Trollfjord and sister Midnatsol at various stages of their visit to Trondheim this morning, a very cold day at -24 degrees Celsius!
