There's definately some extra-ordinary activity on Midnatsol because she was still there in Trondheim at 15:30
I wonder if that can be correct, because now (2215) she is north of Rørvik, about 1 hour late. At 1530 I chequed her, and then she was around Kjeungskjæret lighthouse, about 1 hour late.
    Regards; Sigve.

      Sigve,

Maybe you found more recent data.

      Which source did you use?

Still, each time I see an image of, or this ship in real, I almost forget that she is back in Norway. She is one of the most beautiful current ships and she has a proud name, with a lot of tradition to live up to.

          Beautiful image!

Well, we've done it!...booked a cruise on the Nordnorge, next April 11, Bergen north, then back to Trondheim! We could not pass up the huge discounts in pricing -- as repeat cruisers and early bookings. And we so loved Norway on our last visit.

Nordnorge looks HUGE compared to the Fram! Are there any features on her that the Fram didn't have? I am also hoping that I'll be able to get off more easily (I use a wheelchair), and not have to be carried down a flight of steps. I'm hoping they'll let me use the car ferry entrance, where I can wheel on/off (with some assistance.)

I hope, too, that this time I don't become so ill that I really can't fully enjoy our trip. I was sick for most of our journey on the Fram..and didn't realize just how sick. Once home, I spent almost 2 weeks in hospital, and other few weeks recuperating at home.

Any of you have good hotel recommendations either in Bergen or Trondheim? When we get off the ship in Trondheim we'll be staying overnight then catching the train to Oslo. We're already booked in Oslo at the same hotel we so much enjoyed earlier this year.

Great to hear you've booked for Nordnorge on the coastal route, I'm sure you'll really enjoy it.

The equivalent hotel to the Hotell Bondeheimen in Oslo is the Hotell Hordaheimen in Bergen.

Thank you, Gaelsail, for the link! How are you and your delightful husband doing? We have been out of touch with everyone, but so enjoyed our time together on the Fram, and in Oslo!

I've emailed the hotel and will see what they can offer. The Bondeheiman gave us a very good return price; I don't know what these folks will be able to offer.

Many great hotels in Trondheim as well, in all kinds of price ranges.

The best of the line, with Norway's best hotel breakfast, is Rica Nidelven Hotel.

Hotel Royal Garden is also a well known establishment.

The times I have stayed at hotel in Trondheim, I seem to always return to Bakeriet Home Hotel: great atmosphere, comfortable rooms and great breakfast.

On the budget side, there is a Thon Budget hotel at Trondheim Torg: reasonable price, and you can have the BF included or not.
