      Re: ::: Nordnorge :::

And if there's somebody out there wondering, can't you just show us some ordinary ship-pictures, just be patient they are coming.

Now some more traditional interior pictures:

The panarama lounge Torghatten. Talking about art, the pictures of the birds in the "glass roof" are made very simple and very nice.

      The "knitting-view".

      Staircase outside Torghatten.

      Elevator in the aft staircase.

        And in the opposite direction.

This space is located outside the conference rooms and called "Stella polaris bar".

Now some pictures for all hardcore fans:

The warderobe situated between the cafe and the internet room.

The entrance to the gents restroom.

A cabin corridor on deck 6.

          Some final for tonight:

"Observation lounge Vestfjorden", I guess the most of us would just say "the Bar".

            Oh dear Tommi.

Your interior-photos of Nordnorge are so FANTASTIC and eh.... BEAUTIFUL. Very artistic, but also so realistic that I was just about going to the cafeteria to get some more coffee in my red coffee-mug.

And as our friend Asimut said. The first image in post 281 is, is,........ WOW

...and by the way (it's time to go a little bit OT in this thread): the restrooms are for sure not a reason to visit the newest generation like Midnatsol. We expected something new and space designed but no - even much more simple than on NN. But i took no pictures from inside the restrooms. There must be still something on the to-do-list for the next trip.

                Re: ::: Nordnorge :::

Well Ralf........ I have to admit that the main reason I "visit" the restrooms, is because I have certain needs from time to time. And that needs do NOT include my camera.

But you are pointing at a subject I have thought about more than ONE time.

I don`t know if you noticed.......but the public restrooms on Nordkapp and Nordnorge has an interesting, and a bit annoying door-constructions. When you lock the door to have a few minutes privacy, you are not locking the rest of the world completely out. You simply can not close the door tightly, because there are about 2 cm gap between the door and the wall. So everyone can perfectly well look in to you when you are sitting there, trying to do your very best............

Far back in 1996, I pointed that out in a description of brand new Nordkapp I was asked to do for a local newspaper.

Last month I was out traveling with Nordkapp again. And I went down to the reception-girl (as usual ) to ask if there was a spesific reason WHY the doors in the public restrooms was constructed that way.

She, and the rest of the crew, just laught. And assured me that I was not the only one who had asked the same question.

Did you noticed ?????? And have you any thoughts about THAT ????????

I hope some day to shoot some pictures of that. And of other restrooms. It it will not surprise me if our Seagull is coming up with some restroom-images.....

In the meantime you can enjoy my only two images from a cabin`s restroom from another ship.

                  Dear Tommi,

An exceptional presentation of the ship through your photography... what an honor to see your talent to good use!

You are very talented and it is an honor studying these images: many of which I can guarantee you I would never have seen myself.

                    Interesting with these details.
I didn't take any restroom pictures during this trip, but I actually posted one in the Trollfjord-thread: http://www.captainsvoyage-forum.com/...9469#post49469
I think the restrooms in general we're good.

And the cabin was also good:

It's a quite normal 80-90's ship pax-cabin, quite roomy althought.

Number 326. If anybody on NN is reading: the shower is dripping!

It's time to get a completely different perspective of the necessities on board:

                      And up we go...

                      The view from the bridge!

                      And the way down...

                      No, I didn't test it.

I could look at your pictures for hours, Tommi. I would have loved to witness you in the play-room though, while you were taking your pictures, especially if you did test the way down the slide

Tommi!!!! I’m here….just really short on time….but just to say along with Ralf , Martin and everyone, thank you for your utterly brilliant images of “our” ship. Love the general views, interiors and exteriors, details –especially the details…and just when I think you’ve shown us everything (except the Ladies restroom which I also forgot to photograph ) you give us a child’s eye view of the playroom.
Ahhhh, red mug time!…or shall I have a go on the slide???
