    A collection of windows:

And finally a cat-door in one of the doors:

Or could it have something to do with fire safety?

        Let's go rails:

        Rails up.

        Rails down.

        Rails starboard.

        Rails stern.

        Rails bow.

        And rails in the sky.

        Nerdy, isn't it?

Yep me too - all of the shots in both #270 and #271 are really different from the normal. Definitely inspirational stuff. Thanks for sharing those with us Tommi.
              Cheers,

Great captures of NN's details, Tommi... I love exploring the ships in the way you are presenting her here. There are details everywhere, we only need to see them!

Yes, it is a tiny door.... The door is a fire door, and that little corner of the fire door is for fire hoses to run through it without having to open the whole door, preventing the spread of smoke and avoiding fueling a fire with more fresh air.

Tommi, I just realized.... these kinds of shots is perfect for advertising material, brochures and websites....

They create emotion, and without showing the whole ship, we still know it's all from Hurtigruten!

                  Splendid works!

THAT kind of pictures i was waiting for, Tommi!! Thank you so much for posting them. And so nice to know nearly all positions of the windows and doors (except 269, 5/6 where i am not quite sure)...
Thank you for the explanation of the "cat's door",Jan-Olav, i always tried to encourage my children (especially my daughter) to ask the crew for it's purpose, but they were too shy... well i am sure some day they will ask for such things.

Thank you all for the nice comments, I really appreciate them all very much. Always happy to give something back to the forum.
Thanks to pakarang for sorting out the facts around the fire-hatch, problably a thing that some people think about and others barely notice.

I guess you want some more?

Although I like art, but I'm more a art consumer than a art enjoyer. Many of Nordnorge's art are in fact quite nice pieces of work. I think Seagull and others already have showed quite many of these in earlier postings, but these might be from perhaps a different angle of view.

                          Now that's hard weather!

                          Heeey!

NN has quite many paintings with entire fleets of fishing boats. Seagull and I tried to sort this out one evening. We had some good thoughts about different fishing seasons and periods but I think that we never really came to any final conclusion.

Details of a textile work hanging in the panorama lounge.

I'm trying to make art of myself.

                            Very nicely carved wooden penguins.

One of the half models hanging in the panorama lounge. A token from the christening.

A fishing net hanging in the forward stair hall.

They may be very pretty, but also pretty hard to read.
