    Re: Sjøkurs ex. Ragnvald Jarl

If I try to show all my photos from houses, ships, birds and flowers, the forum will crash. So the next stop are the Faroe Islands, Tvøroyri.

We did a guided hike in the mountains, the island Litla Dimun can be seen in the background.

First I saw this special view from Nordstjernen created from a member in a german forum. I tried the same on Sjøkurs. (On MS Nordstjernen you need longer arms or a better wide angle for a photo like this one)

Very nice shot... unusual, never seen this angle before.

Near Iceland was a stop for fishing:

The seagulls fought hard for their piece of fish.

                        Final destination: Iceland/Husavik
Always when I see the weather forecast in TV there is a low pressure area about Iceland. So it looks in reality

                            Beautiful photos, Eilund!
                            Thank you for sharing.

As to the water coming out of the bow, I believe it is the cooling to either the bowthruster which was instaled at Karstens Skibsværft (Karstens Shipyard) in Skagen, oktober 2009, or to the system providing power to the anchor, winch and crane.

I am not 100% sure, but that is my closest guess.

The crane was replaced in Skagen also.
Sad to see the original crane go, even though the new one is more flexible, easy to handle, and has a portable remote-system.
But classic is always the best :-)

                              Hi,

She will participate at "Les Tonnerres de Brest" 2012 festival in july 2012. In 2008, she was at the Brest festival too.

Good news, people! There are still more available tickets to join the queen for her voyage this July! She will sail from Kristiansand to Denmark, Jersey, France, England and the Netherlands! You do not have to join for the whole trip, and I can guarantee that you will have a tremendously great time! I have sailed with her a pleasant amount of times, and it has always been a pure joy, filled with good times that leaves memories that stick!

And if you do not wish to pay for the holiday, you can join as a crewmate! If you have a sertificate as deck -or engine officer, you can have a tremendous holiday through Europe, free of charge, while sailing on this lovely piece of engineering and classic design!
