More images could possibly be posted later - from the other areas of the ship, including the bridge and the engine room.

Once again, I kindly ask all readers to respect what I mentioned earlier: these images shall not be posted on any other site without explicit permission. They were incredibly difficult to obtain, and has been shared to all of you who, like me, wishes to see the status of our beloved coastal vessel.

I totally respect your last comment. Totally agree!

That said; I really look forward to the bridge pictures and pictures from other areas that has not been presented before..., if you got some of that category.

Thank you so very much.... many of these images have never been posted before, and I do have many more, including from the bridge, the chart room, the Captains Cabin and the engine room. More will surely be coming.

I would also like to remind all those that haven't read the story before, but this is what the 2007 visit was like:

Pakarang, it is almost impossible to express how heartwarming it is to see more of your photographs of this beloved ship, and to think about the enormous effort you made and the obstacles you overcame to obtain them. And at the same time it is heartbreaking to see the inexorable deterioration, especially of the exterior and where rusting and water leaks have taken their toll.
Those lounges and salons have a king-like restrained elegance, whilst embracing the delightful playfulness of Sivertsen’s artwork – I can’t stop smiling when I look at that row of fishes! And like Sterkoder, I for sure would appreciate and am eager for a glimpse of the bridge and engine room.

                            Such complex mixed emotions . . .

Very well said Seagull. You have said every I was thinking.
Jan-Olav, knowing the story of your efforts and the journey you made, i can only say that i feel very privileged indeed to see these images. And like everyone else i would love to see more photos. And for me, especially the engine room. Let me in there for a day or two and i would soon have that baby fired up! But alas, firing up the engine would be the easy bit.

Thank you all very much... this ship has a special place in many people's heart, even mine. It hurts seeing her this way, neglected and in disuse.

She deserved a much better end than this: languishing at anchor in a tropical country, wanted by nobody.

More images will be posted soon.
