WOW. Quite a bit of current can be seen in one of the photos.

Dusting off a really old thread about the OCEANOS...

Had to rewatch that underwater wreck diving video as well... and yes, the pool is still full of water!!

I would like to add these two videos to the ship being mentioned, the OCEANOS.

In an article from Svalbardposten today, it is written that the Norwegian trawler "Northguider", which grounded in the Hinlopen strait in december last year, will be removed in august this year when the weather conditions are good. They expect that the work to remove the ship will take between 4-5 weeks.

The coast guard vessel "Svalbard" is now by the ship to make it clear for the rest of the winter and at the same time remove more waste from the ship.
They will also mount the tracking system so that they can monitor the ship at any movement.

The Coastal Administration believes that the ice conditions will not cause problems for the trawler where it is located during the winter and spring.

Thanks for the update! I recently read the crew's own story at some Norwegian newspaper. It was truly interesting to read their stories on what happened, how they felt and found themselves in such a distress. This could have gone so much worse than it did, and if they manage to salvage the boat before it sinks, it will be a relatively good ending.

                      Thank you for sharing!

I heard of the incident, but in accordance with the information provided in this video, I didn't know she had been listing that much.

From what I have been able to learn, she has canceled three cruises and will have some repairs done in Europe before staring her first cruise from .... Barcelona(?).
