    The Streets of Monaco

Now if this were to be built, then i reckon we could all have some fun on this one!

This increadible project was mentioned and discussed on the previous page as well.

But if the Streets of Monaco seems a bit over the top, could this be the future CV Yacht?

Flying like an Ecranoplan, at high speeds and sailing from Oslo to Bergen within 90 minutes only.

Apologies for totally missing the previous posts about the Streets of Monaco.

I have read about these flying boat/plane things before, i seem to remember that they have been built in the past and proved to work. I think i read about them whilst researching a post about hovercraft's, might have been on the old forum. Though nothing i have seen before can compare with the looks and style of this one.

Not too sure about the safety of these things though, 4 foot above the water at 400kmph, small craft not showing up on radar, large waves, either could lead to big trouble.

I think the Russians had a lot of these "ekranoplan" concept boats/aircrafts, some of which were quite large as well.

There was probably a thread and a discussion on the old forum, as you mentiones.

Not a bad looking yacht this one: would look nice as our place to retire:

If we buy the old wooden car ferry "Gamle Stoksundferja", I volunteer as a Captain:

I do like the funnel and fan tail stern. Just a bit more angle on the bow and she'd be perfect.

Do I sense that I can count on you to help us out with some rust chipping and painting for free then...?

That one would be my dream boat.

Just give her a fresh layer of light blue paint on the hull and I would be able to take her... .
