      Re: World's FISHING BOATS

We had a lecture Thursday evening in the Norwegian Shipping History Society Nordmøre (NSSN), held by the owner of "Stormfuglen".
      Very interesting lecture!!

Here's "Stormfuglen" moored in Vågen in Kristiansund tonight

After the lecture, the owner Eva Toril Strand got a model of her boat inside an old Absolut bottle. She was very pleased and thankful...
The bottle was made finished Wednesday by a retired offshore captain and member of NSSN

If anyone have pictures of a newer fishing boat than this, show them.
Here's the Seacon design SC34, built in Arkhangelsk, Russia...., named "Lyn" heading for Måløy.

(If you want to follow the tow on AIS, the tug is "Abramis")

A quite interesting picture of a Fishing Vessel:

For me this necessity of fishing working life is a “different” and fascinating scene. Taken from an ideal viewpoint too, and of a smart looking vessel.

From my trip to Ålesund Sunday, here's "Havskjer"

                              "Gunnar Langva"

                              "Fiskeskjer" and "Strand Senior" (inner)

I've asked before, and can do so again: What in Gods name is it with fishing boats and stripes...???
(I notice that the stripes on "Havskjer" and the two "Fiskeskjer" and "Strand Senior" are alike. Does it have anything to do with who built them, as a sign of the yard??)

All three designed by Skipsteknisk in Aalesund.
