Sea-Otter, your photo of the unknown fishing vessel T-50-H is simply brilliant!

Fishing boats seen in Aalesund last week.
The two first were shot from the car while passing by:

Both should be familiar to some CVF members.

Two older fishing vessels seen at Roald Fishing Harbour, Vigra, near Aalesund:

I don't know the story behind these two, but they appeared to be idle with no signs of activity on board. Both "imported" and of a type not normally used in Norway.

Something for our investigating detective Sterkoder to bit into??

Oestanger of Bergen. Looks like a fairly new and compact Seiner/Pelagic Trawler:

A larger vessel of the same kind, unknown name:

Shot in bright sunlight and at long range while passing by in Valderhaugfjorden.

              Re: World's FISHING BOATS

A small coastal fishing boat of an unbelievable design:

Obviously designed to fit some rules based on length.

An older fishing boat without fishing registration and a small coastal fishing boat at what used to be Hjelseth Motorfabrik:

Fishing boats are everywhere in Aalesund:

Same two from a different angle and in different light:

Another coastal fishing boat that appears to have been designed to fit some obscure quota rules, not good seamanship:

All superstructure and little deck space.

                    Re: World's FISHING BOATS

I am particularly fond of this boat. It's hard not to like the rounded, traditional lines.

And something a bit more modern and less attractive.

I suppose the boxes contain the beer for their fishing trip.

It seems most every port has at least one odd little fishing boat.

"Andøybuen" on her way south this morning.
She had a fire onboard yesterday afternoon, but the crew managed to extinguish the fire.
What was damaged during the fire is unclear.

These guys were dragging where the Dardanelles meet the Marmara Sea.

It must be a good spot since everyone was working the same area.

A vessel generating traffic at Kristiansund airport also, as they use our city to change crew, is the huge russian trawler "Kapitan Gorbachev"
