    WEST NAVIGATOR end its 9 years contract with Shell and is in Kristiansund for the last time. Shell is now in contract with the floating rig TRANSOCEAN BARENTS to continue what WN leave behind. In the images from Vestbase Saturday 20. September, we also see WNs 'shadow', VOLSTAD SUPPLIER.
    Pictures taken from quay #9 after a couple of hours of work from my side :-)


    In the distance, we see NORMAND MERMAID


    I saw the crane hook came down, hopeing something red was to be lifted, and what do you know...., a cargo carrying unit of the right company was lifted :-)




    Sling chain tested and inspected by yours truly, so this is a safe lift ;-)


    Suddenly the old days appeared, in the form of sundbåtferry FRAMNÆS

      And off she goes to Russia (maybe??) for a 5-year contract with Rosneft.

    FRAMNÆS was sailing charters all Saturday


    Then a giant in offshore shipping arrived, NORMAND VISION, only 3 months old.
    Delivered from Vard Søviknes yard in June this year, 156,7 meters long, 27 meters wide.

        i have still images to sort out from the weekend Ivy and Ralf where in Holland in May 2014,and thats for sure,there are even older maps where i know there are vessels in,but never opend them anymore.
        sometimes the pile of them is so high that i just folder them in the maps and not even place them anymore,
        it would take to much time.
        as i was trying to make images fromas much vessels a image,i even stopped with that,whats the use from placing a image from a half vessel and a half quay.

      What has that got to do with the above???????

                            My target for the day, Russian flagged AHTS "Katun", built at Ulstein Hatlo, Norway in 1983:












                            In good condition, which shows what "Sunnmoringa" can do when they put their mind to it.
