    The sails of IDEAL are also made locally by a very good local sailmaker.
    Mr. Torgeirson makes everything himself. Even the 150 rope blocks in various dimentions for the rig


    In Aalesund, the old fishing lugger has been on the sea for a couple of months now. (Thought I posted, but must have forgotten all about it, even though I took her pictures when I went to Aalesund for the cruiseship BRITANNIA visit). Anyway, here she is:

      Thank you for these photos of two "old" but appealing vessels. It is so good to see the Norwegian habit of keeping old style vessels alive in these days of squat and rather boxy vessels.
