I really like the last photo. I don't know why but in all my time looking at ships through binoculars and my camera lens I never really looked at the life boat and how it's carriage works. The rollers to support and guide the life boat. Now I have to search Youtube for a video of how the carriage moves.

Hey, what does my eyes spot in the image of post #104 there...?
On the right edge of the picture is the aft part of Sterkoder yardnr. 190 delivered in August of 2000, then named "Atlantic Dawn", now called "Annelies Ilena".
It was (and perhaps is?) the largest fishingboat of its type in the world

Some details from an AHTS with a special design. Built in China in 1987 for P&O in Australia, with some innovative features and mostly Norwegian equipment. Previously Lady Gerda belonging to Farstad, Australia, now TAG 11 belonging to TAG Offshore, Mumbai, India.

Seen here with her sister ship, Lady Cynthia, also sold to TAG:

Note the high side walls on the picture above and here:

When using this vessel for towing earlier, I used to compare the view from the rig with that of a drydock.
