    Another fairly new Offshore Vessel, the AHTS POSH Commander.
    Built in Japan, 2011. IMO No. 9514286 if anybody wants more details.

              POSH Commander seen at Batu Ampar Anchorage, Batam, 15.03.2013.

              POSH Commander towed the Kan Tan IV from Batam to a drilling location in the South China Sea, off China.

                Details of another AHTS, the Toisa Dauntless.
                Built in China in 2007, IMO No. 9307322.

                    Karmfork Chain/Wire stoppers in raised position:

                    The rusty part of the deck is just a wear plate to protect the actual deck from damages when handling heavy anchors etc. (No need to wast paint as it will be worn off after a few anchors have been pulled on deck)

                    This one is equipped with hydraulic Quarters Pins to stop the towline or chaser wire from slipping too far to the side:

                                As always, it's very interesting to see your quick reportages from the ships that you are visiting Ombugge.
                                That machine room seems to be really crowded. A nightmare for maintenance personnel?
