  • Details of ships and boats

We have threads for many different types of vessels and one for any kind of vessel -Ship Spotters and Maritime Image Thread- which was meant for single images of ships, boats and anything Maritime.

Not to clutter up these threads I'll create one for detailed picture of vessels and their machinery, equipment and accommodations for those who like that sort of things.

Starting with a modern Offshore Construction Support Vessel, the Normand Clough. (She has been featured here before, in posts 390 and 394)

Here she is as seen in Chiwan, China two weeks ago:

She also carry a "portable" 16-men Saturation spread and an Air Dive spread on deck, but that was outside my scope of work.
Here is the Rescue Chamber though:

No Hyperbaric Life Boat on board.

The life boats are backed by another 100% coverage in Life Rafts on either side:

The Helicopter deck is also a good help if evacuation of the full complement of 120 persons should be required:

(Or just evacuation of non-essential personnel in case of approaching Typhoon etc.)

The Helicopter Lounge on top of the Bridge is comfortable for waiting passengers:

With a comfortable corner for small and informal meetings:

For more formal meetings there is a large Conference Room:

But it is not all work and no recreation.
The Mess Room is spacious but does not seat all 120 persons at the same time:

Food is an important part of life for people working 12 hour shifts for weeks on end:
