OK, to bring you all back on track, the US warship in Trondheim is apparently called USS Vicksburg.

They have a website too...: http://www.vicksburg.navy.mil/Default.aspx

When they arrived, they were escorted by two other navy ships, and they were sailing completely without any lights at all, not even navigation lights I've heard. They do not transmit an AIS signal, and they are not on any "ships-in-port" lists as well.

'Cause that would just be too easy for the "enemies", wouldn't it....?

Thanks for the link though, as it's always interesting to "visit" a US Navy vessel and see how they're doing

I assume they were taking on jet fuel for the helicopter.

A customer of D’s weather satellite software working as a civilian contractor aboard Chevalier Paul very kindly arranged permissions for a ship visit yesterday. I’m sure you’ll understand that I can’t describe this or take pictures, but as a bonus for you here are images taken later from the Royal Yacht Britannia.

Is one of these vessels, Ålesund and Bergen, on a maiden voyage or something?
