AH! Wonderful Sterkoder. Thanks for sharing these of the Silver Cloud, this is the very first time I actually see a (good) photo of the ship sporting her new hull colours.

She looks way better than before with the all-white hull.

Do like a local photographer (Per Kvalvik) did here in Kristiansund.
He took a "dronekurs" to become a licenced drone pilot, and he got his official Civil Aviation Authorities drone pilot licence.
He also work close with the ATC at Kvernberget airport, and has one mobile phone designated to calls to and from ATC.
On top of that he works close with the Port Authiorities and got his permit to fly over the harbor area for each flight.
(On your part, you might contact ATC at Værnes just to inform them, should there be helicopter traffic in the harbor area during tourist season, but the difference between Kristiansund and Trondheim is that the airport here is so close to the city that the in- and outbound routes for VFR traffic are very close to the city and drone flying areas).
But..., if you got different answers at the Trondheim Port Authorities each time, depending on who you meet, then you have a difficult environment to work in.

I do have an operators license as well, but no additional phone for ATC (as I never fly closer than 8 kilometres of an airport - 5km is the minimum requirement).

I also check flight restriction maps before every flight, at least three different providers, to ensure I'm not in areas with restrictions (temporary and/or permanent).

        Oh well, life moves on.

Aalesund is the place for Cruise ships to do compass adjustment:
      https://www.smp.no/nyheter/2018/07/1...n-17099832.ece

Maybe one of the few places where it is suitable to do it and somebody who are still able and authorised to do so?

I remember we doing this with the Crystal Symphony also, at the exactly same spot.

Those are two massive ships, no doubt! Thank you for sharing ombugge.

In Trondheim today, we also had a fairly large ship, the Koningsdam of Holland America Line! Saw some "duchies" in town today!

                Here are some images:

Not to brag BUT, I like this image because of the light and the feeling it gives me. The colours are vibrant and the breeze actually LOOKS warm, it's an image that reminds me of summer.

With those images, I thank the Koningsdam for the business you gave me today! Bon voyage to Honningsvåg to a wonderful couple that right now, are enjoying the ship and their cruise to North Cape: may you both get to see the midnight sun you have always wanted to see!

Here is an image which is technically not mine, but from the web camera at Port of Trondheim website.

I screensaver this image of SAPPHIRE PRINCESS because I liked the way it came out... it wasn't one of those best days weather-wise.

That is a lot of ships - and GUESTS - in one day! Hope Aksla can handle all the buses and cars (reference to the previous traffic jam up there).
