  • The Real story behind the sinking of the Titanic in 1912.

In 1912 the Titanic set sail for NYC amid great aplomb and celebration. Some 50 years later (or more) a fat photo album was purchased at some selling place with astounding photos.
Apparently, the vessel was on fire as It left Belfast, and the poor stokers were shovelling already burning coal like crazy. The bulkheads were made of ordinary plate steel which began to buckle as it heated up.

Nobody aboard knew what was happening below (or did not want to reveal the facts) and the ship sailed on as fast as possible as the coal was running very low. Then as they struck the iceberg (they knew about its position) as the ship was fast losing leeway. It sank as we know, very quickly; The cover-up from the company was fully revealed thanks to the dusty old photos retrieved by chance.
The bosses of the line never admitted anything was amiss - she was sunk by an iceberg was quite well accepted.

I have heard a lot about these fire-rumours, and they might be true... or not. This is one of the mysteries we will never get to know if they were true or not.

PS: I would have loved seeing those photos and whether they could be confirmed to be from the Titanic and not a similar ship like the Olympic.
