Hope the weather doesn't keep her away from Trondheim next week - though, I'll be stationed at Kvithylla Rissa Shipyard for the majority of the week.

As reported in the Cruise ships in Kr.sund thread:
Because of the weather MV Magellan have changed itinerary. The vessel is today in Ålesund and tomorrow in Olden. This means that Krisitiansund on saturday is cancelled.
I'm not planning to go to town today, so here is from Aalesund Havn webcam:
They have cleared away fishing boats from part of Stornespiren today:

    Double banking some at Sjogata:

And there comes Magellan to fill the space allotted to her:

Moored in place for the day:

I think the MAGELLAN is due to come to Norway in about 2 weeks time - around mid-October.

That will be the second to the last call for Trondheim. The last cruise ship will be on New Years Eve this year.

She has left again, heading to Bergen.*
Will that ACTUALLY be last call of the year, or are there more wind casualties to come??

An unscheduled visitor in Aalesund today:

I wasn't in town, so this is from Aalesund Havn webcam.

She was apparently heading for Geiranger but made a turn near Stranda and came to Aalesund around 1200 hrs. No reason known (yet).

PS> Here is the explanation: http://www.smp.no/nyheter/2017/09/28...ick_articles=2

    Nice new additions !

Hopefully, the Monarch will return to Trondheim next year for turnaround of guests.

This year they had to cancel all turnarounds at Trondheim due to expansion work at the town's city swimming pool.

PS> Now there will be a few days without any cruise ship in Aalesund. Next is 30. Aug. 2017 when Monarch and Koningsdam will be here together.
Last ship for this season will be Norwegian Jade on 14. Sept. 2017.

It was a day of beautiful weather for the Queen to visit you. A bit of a change from the usual run of ships too. Thanks for sharing the photos with us Ombugge.

Departing with full honours. Hessa Skolekorps playing their heart out:

Together with NSSR's Det Norske Veritas II

It is kind of blurring the view from my vantage point at Blixsvalen:

I shot a long video of the departure, but not ready for publishing yet.
