        I'm not sure if this is the thread, or should I post it in the YouTube thread, or what..., but anyway.
        Here's a video from the self-beaching of tanker Front Driver and it's breakup in Pakistan. (Note the protective clothing (not) and shoes of the workers).

          There is a sense of excitement in that video, even with the horrible choice of music.... a ship is about to "die" after a long voyage all over the world.

          Must be a special feeling being a captain of something like this on a day like this.

            Yes it is. I have done that once. (I may have mentioned that here before)
            The urge to order "Full Astern" is overwhelming as you approach that beach.

                  Wonderful Antarctica.... an amazing area to experience, glad I got the chance to sail down there as well before I pulled in my cruise-ship oars.

                  Expedition is expected to Trondheim in about one months time as well.
