Is it just me, or am I right in thinking that the "all-white" paint scheme looks a bit boring. The HSC would deifnately have looked a whole lot better with some fresh colors and stripes I think.

Fully agree, a little more colors and she had seen much better on the sea.

Great shot, but to me, those "windows" in the passenger lounge are reflecting like plexiglass windows....

It is plexiglass/ lexan windows on these old boats. It is no longer used on new boats because of fire safety, and most likely these old boats will change to hardened glass when the lexan is "worn out"

Apparently, this is some old news that surfaced some years ago, but ...

Future of HSC - triple hulled fast ferries capable of speeds around 50 knots.

That leaves Stavanger - Trondheim in about 11 hours.

Kan gå fra Stavanger til Trondheim på under 11 timer  – når Stad skipstunnel står klar.

From March 1st 2017, Askøy became Ekspressen's new home after her service in Ålesund was over. Teisten that was on the Askøy service could not deal with the massive crowd in the rush hour anymore so then we got a larger vessel

Much more to come also This shot was planned after talking with one of the captain's, so he arranged a side by side sail out from Bergen

The use of HSC vessels for tourist attractions Would have been nice with traditional boats also, but most tourists hesitate when the trips are longer and even longer. (That's something I learned after talking with lot's of tourists on the Rødne's fjord cruises from Bergen) The vessels goes slow through the attractions and then fast to the next destination

I think you have come to a really correct observation.

Most tourists these days come from afar and have extremely limited time, and a very packed program for their visit. Their tour-programs are as tightly packed as a German-run operation.

An Asian airlines recently advertised a tour-package from their base-country to Norway. The total length of the trip was 5 days including flight! The program included visits at Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger AND Trondheim! That is really, really cutting it down to a bare minimum.

Certainly no time for slow cruises to the fjords!
