      • I don't understand what makes any operator wanting an all-white hull. Within days or weeks, it'll all be scratched up I would think.

        • "Aurora Explorer" is one of many vessels in Tromsø used for whale watching and Northern Lights tours
This industry has exploded in recent years here in Tromsø.

"Aurora Explorer" ex.Vågsfjord was purchased from Torghatten AS.
During the summer she sail regularly between Longyearbyen -Pyramiden-Barentsburg etc.

Here she is on her way into Tromsø harbour back in october in heavy rainshowers.

          Best wishes from

          • Cool, finally I got to see a great image of the former VÅGSFJORD!

That crossing from Spitsbergen to the mainland must be some ride I would presume!

                • HSC "Renøy" docked at her usual place in Tromsø yesterday.

The new passenger terminal at Prostneset beginning to take shape and will be completed in January / February 2018.

It will be such a relief for all passengers who will be traveling by bus, HSC or coastal steamer ship to and from Tromsø.

No comments on the many new and exciting HSCs in local service?
I'll get to the Le Soleal shortly, be patient.

                          • Oh yes I do have a comment ...the name FRAM caught my attention as, of course, that name usually suggests a particular explorer cruise ship to me as you all know! I had somehow not kept up to date on the developments of all kinds of public transport around Ålesund operating under the FRAM logo.

Here are the details of fast ferry Nørvøy: http://www.braa.no/nrvy/
