In English, that activity is known as "jumping" and the ladder as a "jumping ladder".

Jumping is more usually performed ship-to-ship with the two vessels side by side and making the same speed. I have done it but only ever under calm conditions. It's a lot more challenging when there's a swell because the two ships will typically move vertically with respect to each other. The jump needs to be timed just right.

The ice-to-ship jump in the video is impressive.

    Lovely video, beautifuly shot.
I also looked at one of a cable laying ship - it was not, as far as I could see, doing anything other than passing out from port to sea - but the only comment was on the view of the glorious sunset near the end of the video.
Well, what else could one say?!

That would be a great, private pleasure boat when she completes her current duty as pilot boat.

But with a large engine, probably quite uneconomically.

20th July, pilot boats LOS099 and LOS120 returned from duty at the same time in Kristiansund. This is not happening every day.
