Two very interesting shots: Yves' view of the pilot coming aboard (#183.4) and Thijs' shot of the speeding boat at #184.1

in a big port like Rotterdam, the pilots are Always in a hurry.
thatswhy they have a big V8 down under.

Hey you, Dutchie. What makes you think I know as much about boats as you do? Had to find out what on earth a V8 was, didn't I? Why didn't you say a V8 engine ?
I shan't say what a skilful photograph it was now!

and when you have a big fire place in your house, you need a lot of woodlogs.
then you need something like this

GREAT SOUND, eh???? You mean that little raspy pop-pop noise from the Mustang ??? Crewtenders were a bit better, I suppose, but the log-cutting was impressive - for its speed.

Hopefully he survived long enough to be rescued? In high winds and a confused sea it is one of the more risky occupations.

Watch this pilot trying to board a Container ship off Portugal: http://gcaptain.com/watch-sketchy-pi...r-arrangement/
Looking at the roll period this vessel must be close to her stability limit.

                        Heck! .............

A new pilot boat appeared in the Kristiansund harbour today. Never seen it before.
This is LOS 127, a Alusafe 1620 BB Pilot delivered from Maritime Partner AS to Bugsér og Berging AS 11. November 2016.
I thought this was to become the new pilot boat in Kristiansund, but a pilot contacted me and said this is the new pilot boat in Ålesund.

May he got lost and ended up in KSU instead of AES???

Nice catch....! Perhaps this is one of the future pilot boats that are to start service all around the coast in Norway.

Yes, this is the first of two to be built for Buksér og Berging to cover pilot services all around. There is an option for 8 more.
This LOS 127 spent a few days in Kristiansund to run some tests.
