      Trying out the new version.
We have had some VERY nice large yachts visiting Aalesund lately.
      Here is one of them:

Even the capstans are made from stainless steel:

And the fair leads is "gold plated":

      Last upgrade was in 1993:

Totally different designs but I think that both the TALITHA and the Gene Machine are two exceptional looking vessels. Would be hard - at least for me - to pick which one to go on a trip with, if I ever was asked, thank you very much!

Talking about ice breakers, can you spot the vessel?

A few buckets of paint left over after they'd done the building?

                WAOW!

Tommi's 4501 is an exceptional image in that the ship and the building behind appears to have the exactly same shade of paint! Almost too good of a match actually! Well done getting that photo!

The Kvitnos image is superb too. Actually today, I saw "Kvitnos" on AIS as we crossed the fjord at work. But it wasn't this one, it was a sailboat with the same name!

That is a really brilliant shot with that misty fog!

A shot you just need to be there to get - and can't plan for!

                        Great spot!

As you may have noticed from my past comments: I love images of ships crew of all ranks and positions. Perhaps because I relate to their work so much?
