      wellllllll.not that great background

from point 1, the truck spottingplace. here i can go with the truck, not allowed however ,forbidden to park , i have a smal clear view between the purple lines
the 2 arrows are the mushrooms ,the green lines are the breakwaters.
i have a small gab between the mushroom and the dyke, and over the breakwater, cut most of the images those 3 obsticles away
between the red lines a big gab but also far away,i have cut away a lot of the images, to get the vessel big on the screen

the big vessels come and go between the lightbleu lines

the smaller vessels can between the yellow lines, but also in every direction right after the mushroom. the dredgers come and go from that direction

from point 2 top of the dyke ,behind it is a car parking, we go there when a cruise vessel or a unuseal vessel comes by we have a clear view between the darkbleu lines.

so not that much clear background as i wanted, side views are Always with a breakwater, and not even a changes for a pakarang shot.
i can never get a shot of that from those points

Ohhh... I understand, quite a challenge to get the ship to be in the exact right spot that you need.

Pictures of ships I think are best at sea, surrounded by only water.

The so-called "pakarang shots" are challenge indeed, you have to get the ship heading right towards you.

Thanks for sharing the additions, kind of cool to have these images from a port too far away.

The NORDKINN is such a beautiful and sleek vessel: the days of rusty old cargo-ships is thankfully not the norm anymore.

Found a fact sheet on her from 2016, where she is described as a "reefer ship" acquired by NTS Shipping back in October 2017.

The river ships are partly still similar with such coast freighters. Same developments.

Interesting name I think, very person-related name. I wonder when we get a Jan Olav S sailing along the coast_ ?

Bergsund is one of many boats currently on whale watching in the north of Troms county around Skjervøy.
Here she is inbound to Tromsø this morning.

Beautiful vessel.... perfect size and well proportioned like only older vessels can be.

I googled the ship, and it appears that they did a cruise for a Thai University recently...:

                        AHA!

That's why she looks familiar. I have most likely seen her as Tamsøy at some point. She also reminds me of another VDS-vessel... Strønstad (but they are probably not even close in appearance).

Saturday afternoon, the research ship "Kronprins Haakon" was christened in Tromsø. It was Princess Ingrid Alexandra, the ship's godmother who broke a pillar of police against the ship side.
