The brand new Hermes Villa Yacht

    Hermes Villa Yacht

A new way of living on the water, a whole new dimension in the old traditional "house boat- concept".

This would be quite fun to call home!

More about this amazing and very interesting concept can be found in this article.

I think this is a fantastic idea as opposed to the much grander ResidenSea.

At first I thought it looked wierd, but okay, after first glance, it seems intriguing...I really like the pool..............certainly is roomy.

Certainly an unusual and futuristic design. It's like a very sleek ultra modern apartment. But i am a little unsure just how practical it is from a seaworthiness point of view. Not sure how it would handle in a large swell, and i would definitely be worried about any large swells coming in from behind the vessel!

I think the main idea is not to brave the big oceans but rather become a home for several families in a port of their selection. It seems like the boat is big enough to house several apartments, like a shoreside small condo.

I like the idea, especially in places where ocean views are difficult to come by. In addition to that, you can also move it around following the seasons and the sun.

Kind of cool, and yes, very spacious!

I agree to Steve and his doubts about her seaworthiness.

In my opinion form should follow function and the function of a ship is to ride across the seas.

So i can't help, but especially as the houseboater in this forum i don't like this design at all.
Imagine, which port should have space for such a monster shell and where?

This triangular shape is basically the same as the Ramform seismic and FPSO vessels, designed by Naval Architect Roar Ramde, who is also the hull designer here. It is a proven shape and have been used world wide since 1996.
