Oh…now I’m totally confused as to where you are I hadn't been looking at your main page, thinking you couldn't post there from your portable while travelling. Now (by chance when looking for the Serenissima pages) I see you active the last few days! So maybe your trip on the 28th March was re-scheduled?
It's so hard for a slow seagull to keep track without notifications (and an occasional comment ‘like’!)

hahahahahahaha.... and the Seagull is one of the most beloved followers of my bLOG, at least the only one who ever acknowledges my efforts, and for that, she is deeply loved!

Things happen all the time, and yes, I was supposed to fly away again on the 28th - with Thai off course....

But this time, a re-scheduling had to take place.... my father is 70 years tomorrow, and I will have to be present in Stockholm for a "business-meeting" in April... yes, aviation related off course. I'm also having a lot of other plans the days ahead.... and then, in about 2,5 weeks I will have to be back again on my "normal job" as well.

But, on May 2nd... there is no way I can get out of going back to Thailand.... perhaps in June and August as well.... Britney Spears is waiting to sing for me in Bangkok on June 27th... but I'm not sure I will be able to be there for her, as that is not in my available time.... I hate to let Brit (as I call her) sing without me....

Have I ever said THANK YOU very much for reading my Captains bLOG and for commenting... even though I won't be able to reply to comments (because I'm not using Facebook anymore - 7 months and Facebook free..!...), I highly appreciate your comments and thoughts! I would also like to say THANK YOU very much for sharing links to my bLOG onwards. The bLOG can sometimes feel like lonely place but I love writing about things that fancies my interest. I could stop but again, I love writing so much.

              Dear Jan-Olav.
Be assured, that your blog is no lonely place, from time to time i spend time there reading about your next steps.
For me it is a little bit difficult to interchange between the several parallel universes, such as CV-forum, blogs, Facebook, whatsapp-groups and a few more. That is the reason, why i don't comment your blog, i appreciate each opportunity here in the forum.
For me it is quite difficult to understand, what you are exactly doing right know. Too much secrets left - and so a little bit less facts to send an acknowledgement - as the incredulously German i am....

Copy/paste everything Ralf write here, plus "as the incredulously Norwegian i am...." :-)

I read the blog only a couple of weeks ago, and it was like entering a universe, away from Mother Earth. When I was finished reading..., wow, I kind of popped out into the trivial real world again. You took me on a journey I enjoyed, Jan-Olav.
I'm sorry for not posting comments, but you know, I have my Facebook and CaptainsVoyage Forum :-)

Yes dear Jan-Olav you DID thank me for following your bLOG, but I love and thank you for thanking me again. It's entirely my problem that I sometimes take so long to focus my overactive thoughts into intelligible words and write them - hence my recurring doubts about whether you ever see my feedback to what might have become week-and-longer old posts of yours. So your thanks reassure me.

I'm finding it also helps if I think of your bLOG as "Main Page v2.0" (...well v2.2 by now given the comments issues ).

Although confusing for some, it seems to me very clear that there have always been the parallel universes of Forum and Main Page that embody the way your mind works and are fundamental to your life and personality at a profound level.

Dear all friends, and CV-family members....

My bags are packed (AGAIN) and I will be on my way to the airport in Trondheim this afternoon.... today's flights will be SK0379 to Oslo, Norway, and then SK1488 to Stockholm, Sweden.

I will be staying at a place I stayed once before - the JUMBOSTAY Boeing 747 (what and where else would I be going?)....

I will be in Stockholm to meet up with some Asian airline executives and hopefully, do some plane-spotting as well if there is time. I don't think I will be going in to downtown Stockholm this time, after that tragical terrorist attack, but I do hope you will pray for my safety. I'm a bit worried - naturally - but this is something I have to do, and there is no way of getting out of the meetings planned to take place on Arlanda Airport over the next two days.

I will be returning to Trondheim again on Tuesday evening.... SK1483 to Oslo and SK0382 to Trondheim.

I will be flying in SAS so-called GO-class this time - their version of the Scandinavian business class.

Pictures, vLOG's and a couple of bLOG entries to follow - off course.

Once again, thank you all very much for the support and understanding and if I don't hear from you all before Easter sets in: A VERY HAPPY EASTER HOLIDAY to all of you.

PS: Thailand coming up again from May 2nd to May 21st, followed by Rotterdam and Amsterdam in June!

I'm replying, though you would think I'd realise by now that these oh so welcome updates you post for us involving travels are almost always your last log-in before departure.

Chance can put any one of us in a particular place at a particular moment in time with awful consequences, but Sweden is a country that has been important in my life, and I feel especially for Stockholmers right now.

Anyway, know there isn't a day goes by without me praying for your safety and well-being.

A very warm welcome to Sweden.

The last days have been characterized by some very spectacular and worrisome invidents. My feeling is though that Swedes are taking care of themselves and the healing process is on good way. But things will probably never be the same again, even if love and an open atmosphere will rule here.

Please remember to bring your passport, security levels has been raised at the airports.

If you stop doing your normal things because of incidents like the one in Stockholm a few days ago, you are playing right into the court of the terrorists.
After all, the safest place there is after an incident like this is where it happened. Besides, Stockholm is a big place, what is the chances that YOU should be in the path of the next stolen truck that try to run down innocent people?? The chances of being hit by a falling icicle in Trondheim, or crossing Sukhumvit in Bangkok, is probably as big.

If you want to stay away from any danger you may have to crawl under you bed and stay there. Good luck, but it will be a boring life.
I have travelled the world for 58 years, sometime to places with warfare or rebellion etc., but the only place I have ever felt unsafe was Brooklyn, NY. in the 1960's.

Enjoy your stay in Stockholm, or wherever you travels take you. DON;T WORRY, BE HAPPY.

The connecting flight from Oslo was somewhat delayed, but our Captain landed in Arlanda at 23:16 local time last night, and is clearly very happy indeed! Take a look for yourself!:-

Thank you all for well wishes and prayers.

I totally agree with ombugge - we have to continue doing what we do, or we will have lost! I was a bit tense, but put all my trust in the local POLIS (police) and security level. I also read in the newspaper that there is a larger chance of getting a meteorite in your head than to be a victim of a terrorist act (in Sweden I think).

I'm now back in Trondheim for a short while, after an absolutely WONDERFUL 2 nights-3 days stay at Arlanda! I've wined and been dined.... I had some amazing meals and meetings, a lot of airline-talk and I even squeezed in some plane spotting on the first day even though it was very windy, raining and biting cold!

Yesterday morning, I was literally meters away from the landing of Thai Airways B777-300ER from Bangkok - it was one of the most awesome things I have witnessed.

52 people died from falling coconuts last year. Stay away from dangerous beaches with coconut trees on your travels.
Best of luck in your ventures. Don't worry, be happy!!!

I grew up with coconut palms for 11 years and there were no problems at all. Nobody got cracked open during that time. Can't say what has happened now with people flooding the tropics, but a good look at the status of the colours of the nuts. If brown and still on the tree -watch out below!!

                    52 people!

WAOW! That is a lot - and I totally agree with you, we can't and shouldn't live in fear of being subject to terrorist activities. Live each day and be happy, enjoy everything, learn and prosper is the way to go.

A very Happy Easter to you as well, ombugge and Nari.

Worried about coconuts?? But what about the cascading conkers? See newspaper report of 2001 concerning the dangers that they hold; http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukne...-the-chop.html. But it was finally resolved 16 years later /http://www.holdthefrontpage.co.uk/20...-conker-trees/
