I am really deeply, deeply touched by this birthday card dear Lady C. You put great care and thoughts into it and I really love it (and thanks also for taking the care of altering the names for here and FB). You are really a wonderful person.

      HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAULINE

        Thanks

Hi, Pauline, I've been away from CVF for a few days until last night and didn't realise I had missed your birthday. I hope you had a really good day. Did you have the candles arranged around your place at table at breakfast time, as you did when I was staying with you? They looked so pretty.

          Harro Seagull !

Thanks for the warm greetings! You excell in "photo-shopping" as you do in actual photography itself.
In the 'olden' days, we had to do "burn-ins" "light-fading" and other photo-montage-thingy during the photo-printing process in the darkroom, to get what you do now. One tend to see gulls perched on the heads of sculptures, statue etc. I have one of a gull-on-OleBull in Bergen. mike.

            Hi Wherrygirl !
Many thanks for your warm welcome. Your birthday-present of P1180169 's picture adds to my picture collections of those great old steamer(un-nautical)s.
To complete the exchange, here's one that I rode on last month, the P360032 , a monstrous 4-8-4 saddle-tanker, from Moscow to Vladisvostok.
I shall try to post more nautical pictures on a forum like this.

oops, forgot to post the link on photobucket :

Dear Steve, you are not forgotten. In the words of the old song: "Will ye no' come back again?"
Emailing, but I will still say here on CVF:
          HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STEVE.

Hear hear. Hopefully you get a chance to drop in occasionally and see what we're up to Steve. All the best and Happy Birthday.
