    Seasons Greetings 2013 / 2014!!

Seeing Kiki's post wishing us a Happy Christmas and New Year before her departure to Tromsø, I thought it may help a little if we had a little thread just for Christmas, New Year and various other celebrations that we share at this time of the year.

    So - here it is!

Oops - sorry Kiki - I should have set a new thread up!

I hope you don't mind, but I've put a 2014/15 thread in at http://www.captainsvoyage-forum.com/...etings-2014-15, and copied your post to it.

I'll close this one so we don't get confused.

I'm not "very Edinburgh" at this time of year I know, and didn't go in town for the big show and fireworks and stuff last night!
So here instead is the last sunset of the old year as I wish you the very best for a brand new 2014!

I'm raising my first glass of sparkling as I watch the New Year concert on TV right now, and then have a seagull-style traditional New Year festive lunch
    (yes ..seafood is involved )
...so will catch up on all your posts later in the day. Bye for now...skål ...cheers

...that might turn out to be like checking what a Scotsman has on under his kilt!

Yes, Cecilia, duffle coat it is. I looked at the front Nisse and thought the toggles were some sort of pendant decoration! But does Lille Nisse know what is beneath the duffle coat?????? Might be a splendiferous stripy outfit!

Good choice Ivy ...but wait, isn't that pullover a duffle coat??? Jul Nisse meets Paddington Bear!?! Well my Lille Nisse is hugely amused and says "No competition" and that he will stick to his trendy striped outfit for some years to come. But he did say he liked your photos ombugge.

I'll have one from the middle lot of Julenisser, I think. I like their matching woolly hats and pullovers.
