    Oh, I have just been WAITING to start a thread in the MUG....


    Saw this on twitter....

    Stever Jobs/Apple unveiling iCloud at Worldwide Developers Conference

    Hey, Captain...when you get a sec...change the "my" on "my own MUG" to "our"???

    As some of us have made the switch?? (mwahahahahahaha come to the dark side, we have cookies.......)

    really interested in this iCloud thingy.....

    iCLOUD sounds really exiting... there has been a LOT of buzz around Apple the past couple of days....

    I also read that they are going to build a brand new space-ship-like HQ somewhere in the US... (can't remember the name of that little town).

    I am always disappointed when I hear news of new things like iCLOUD or almost anything Google does. They are so reliant on the Internet, something to which I still have a very poor connection. So many interesting "products" that just do not work where I live. I feel like a kid in school and everyone is talking about a new song just released and I don't have a record player.

      My dears--I know most of you are asleep on "That" side of the pond, but I thought I'd mention that about 30 minutes ago (about 2000) it was announced that Steve Jobs died today (Wednesday October 5).

      Whether you are a PC person or a MAC user, a new convert (like me) or old pro (like Jan-Olav), I don't think ANYONE who connects to the internet has not been profoundly touched by the brilliance of Steve Jobs.

      He will be deeply missed.

      Heaven, however, will soon have a new understanding of "cloud".................

        I was just about to go to bed when i spotted this news on the internet.
        Such sad news. Only a few weeks ago he stepped down because he was struggling and he wanted to spend time with his family. Such a great shame that time was so short.

        A great man indeed, someone that done so much for the world of computing, and in turn, so much for the world in general. The electronic world that we are now so used to would not be the same if it were not for people like him.

                  What a sad news to receive this morning: this is a person which changed the world we live in, and changed the way we connect digitally.

                  People that has this great impact on the whole world aren't born every year.

                      What makes me wonder, is about the future of Apple INC... will they, and the new leader, be able to continue to deliver in the future.

                      The iPhone 4S was a disappointment for many, but for me, I was kind of relieved. With the new 4S I see no need to upgrade my wish list yet. I just don't see why I should upgrade from 4 to 4S.

                          iCLOUD.....

                          Not a good start for iCLOUD as the virtual server in the sky is plagued with loosing files of it's customers..... Not a good start for this service.

                              Today is a special day in the countdown towards the launch of a new iMAC some time soon....

                              According to MacRumors ( http://buyersguide.macrumors.com/#iMac ) today is the day we reach the average days since last update...

                              Oh, I pray so hard for a 32" or a 36" new iMAC with higher resolution and fast speeds.

                              The past 2-3 months, my 4-5 year old iMAC is starting to struggle to keep up. I try to ignore it naturally, and keep it as clean/fast as possible, but when working with large RAW-files, it often hangs a bit.
