Good point.... I have read some online blogs which say that the magic mouse battery is drained really fast if used together with the blue-tooth keyboard. There is apparently a bug in the system somewhere when they are used together.

I don't have a blue-tooth keyboard though, but the 2 AA batteries on my mouse has been replaced once (two-three days ago). That would mean the batteries are running low after a month of use...

I have just noticed there is an on-off switch on the mouse when it is not in use, so that will naturally extend the battery life. Additionally, I'm now using rechargeable batteries instead of one-use batteries.

Thank you for the response. I really like that the mouse has an on-off switch. Based on your 1 month battery life, if you used your computer 4 hours every day and switched the mouse power off each time you could theoretically use the mouse for up to 6 months before replacing or recharging the batteries. Not bad.

Something to add to my birthday wish list.

I can testify to the great feel - and look - of this truly magical mouse. Probably the best mouse I have ever laid my hands on.

The battery usage would naturally be a point of concern, but with rechargeable batteries, I'm happy with it and decide to look away from that "con".

For the most part, this mouse is for me mostly "pros".

Glad to hear it! When I told my sister (who also has a Mac) about this mouse for my upcomming birthday, she said she wanted one as well for her birthday (10 days after mine). So I will purchase two of these mice and she will probaly purchase a gift for herself from me and we allways act surprised when we open our gifts and "settle up" after the fact.

Paul...I'm glad someone else does this. After so many years, I just send lists to Alan and he to me. Only surprises come from my mom. But it's easier that way....

Get more out of your Magic Mouse with this application; more pressure points, more scrolling areas and more click-able buttons.

I just downloaded it and installed, and the mouse is even more magical.

I love my MAGIC MOUSE and do not want to try any other mouse for the rest of my life.

Now, the magic mouse also comes with a neat cordless battery charger and station:
