Some pictures from the last rehearsal before the premiere:

      Let's take a selfie...

I hope that my letters will stand the hard use as chairs, desks and tables...

I'm not totally convinced that I chose the correct pink color tone that late evening in the paint shop...

Pretty smart use of the letters.

Wide angle - not too easy.

This Friday, in my old home town Katrineholm, another venue:

Hard to get it good using ISO 12800 and f2.8...

This was just too hard, ONE usable picture from a 3 minute dance act.

Hard to edit pictures so that you can see both the actors and the standing audience.

Fantastic images Tommi.... especially number 79/4 gave me a giggle. Brilliant moment captured!

You set yourself high standards, Tommi, rightly so, but these images are so full of life and energy, as are all your dance series.
By the way, what was wrong with the pink??? In the photos it seemed to me to be exactly the depth of hue and vibrancy to balance the rest of the scenery, to stand out without monopolising.
Just had a look at the Flickr set. Great!

Thank you Ivy, I'm trying to keep and improve the high level of standard. Struggling a bit with the new camera, but I think I'm kind of on the right track.
Tonight I was apparently a bit lazy, just using ISO 6400, which made the final editing a challenge.
This days challenge, a film music concert!

                  Not too many people attending.

While Lasse is conducting and entertaining...

                    Some portraits:

                    Trombone.

                    Euphonium?

                    Alto saxophone.

                    Probably alto saxophone.

There even was a opening act, with one youth orchestra:

                      Flute.

                      Trombone.

                      Trumpet.

And last but not least, the backbone of everything, the electric base.

                          Thank you!
Did I mention that all concert pictures are without a tripod or monopod. And most without IS...
Equipment is getting amazingly good nowadays.

Just superb - again! That one looking from the back of the hall #83.2 evoked one criticism from me. Oh no, not your photography but the scene itself, for the block of empty seats in the front drew my eye because of the pattern of light and shade that they made! But yet, I suppose you could argue that their patch gave a gradation between the shade at the rear of the hall and the brightly lit orchestra. Whichever way it is seen, the image was so full of atmosphere, it sent little shivers of anticipation down my spine that I get in a concert hall when the audience suddenly goes quiet, the conductor lifts his baton, and ........
The wall lights at #83.4 gave me a surprise, then I realised what you were doing. Beautiful, as were those individual portraits.
                        Thanks, Tommi.

In case you wonder, this is a theatrical play based on Astrid Lindgrens novel "The Brothers Lionheart". Actually a pretty sad story.
