Well, those that don't look, don't see. Here is most of the back garden with falling snow, minus a couple of yards between the back door and the bottom of the photos and again later the same day with some sunshine. The evergreen at the left is gone now.

Here's another of this bold young bird. He saw me at my bedroom window and rushed up to perch on the heavily frosted tiles. I left the room quickly as I don't intend to encourage him inside - I can do without whoopsies all over the place!

The other day I saw him on the roof of my shed down the end of the garden, held out my hand - and to my surprise he made one flight straight on to it. He's naturally wary, but seems very trusting and now takes his time removing a sultana from my hand before hopping down.
I must humbly admit this bird brought a smile to my face... his eyeliner is perfectly matching his beaker...

Perhaps one day I'll manage it, especially for you, Thijs.

Meanwhile, have a grass. I have photographed this in the summer, somewhere back in this thread, it's a lovely plant. But until today I have never been able to do it justice in its winter tawny colour. It gets little sun to give it life then.
But today against the snow I managed it. It's very close to the house just on the right outside the back door, and I see it from the kitchen window - it's lovely.

It had been snoozing in the sunshine, but on my appearing at the back door, camera in hand, the collared dove craned its neck to see if I were coming closer, ready to fly off in panic if I moved!

A very nice composition of the yellow grass and the snow-covered ground beneath it.

Paul (Cobb) nags me now and then to bring over some of my 366 pictures to this thread and now I will do just that.
This is one of the first blossoms of the camellia bush slowly breaking out - it seems to have excelled itself this year - heavily laden with buds. Incredible to think that it is still only February and several weeks before it normally has blooms opening.

Similar to a 366 pic. these are species crocus, always out very early, well before the bigger ones. They are like brilliant stars all over the place for they seed themselves easily and gradually develop into good little corms to come into bloom.

The weather had changed the next day, sun gone, but the area where these snowdrops seeded themselves several years ago gets hardly any sun this time of year, anyway. But they stand out vividly because of that.

This was taken the same day. A primrose will gleam wherever it is!

This spurge just arrived one year - where from I don't know. They are a weird family with the strangest flowers, this one is probably the Cypress Spurge.
