Photo Assignment: To the waste baskets of the world

Photo Assignment: To the waste baskets of the world

Just came up with an unusual idea to create a thread where we can place images we do not like, before we toss them into the waste bin and delete them forever.

This thread is for images that we feel are not up to any standards and that we would normally delete, but images which still has some kind of importance or significance.

Tossing down a few words why we were about to scrap these images, would also be great to read, because as you all know, opinions of what is good and not so good varies from person to person....

Can't wait to see you all start on this thread...

This picture was taken of the moon 30/09/2010 at 7:32 p.m. and was not as I had expected.
It turned out that there were two light objects which probably are planes. That destroyed the image for me, in addition the moon didn't turn out as I had expected in the clouds.
So this picture did not pass the eye of the needle this time and was sent to a temporary garbage bin, awaiting pending court ruling.

Wait a minute... this is the fun thing about this thread!

I think this image does not deserve the waste basket. I think it is kind of cool that you also managed to capture two aircrafts in the image: it adds another dimension, especially since the moon is so blurred out.

Time to relive an old thread... Here is a simple image taken earlier this summer which almost didn't make it through to my files.

But then, there was something about it that I can't really put my finger on.... it's not a favorite image of mine, but I just couldn't delete it either....

Here is another one I actually tossed in the waste bin, and then recovered it when I was about to empty the bin.

It's really nothing, just a rusty piece of steel, but I couldn't tell myself to complete the delete:

The same goes for this one as well, I thought about making it the P366-image of the day a few days back, but it somehow didn't come out the way I had hoped.

I was thinking of a title like "guide me on the right track"....

Couldn't delete this one...It's from Tromsø today

Olaf : You done yet ?
              Me : No, I'm taking a picture
Olaf : Ok! (walks into the 6 second shutter picture and places his tripod in the middle of it)
Me : (facepalm) , What are you dooing?
Olaf : I'm taking a picture, what about you ?
              Me : I was...and I told you...and you walked into it....

A nice smile Kristian.... glad the camera didn't fall over on the side and into the water!

I was hoping this boat would pass before the self-timer went off and the camera shot the photo. It didn't, but i still liked the photo.
